August Updates

We're excited to share some highlights of what the Lord has been doing this month. SALMI successfully held a ministers' prayer conference via Zoom, where missionaries from various fields shared their inspiring testimonies. The session concluded with a powerful message of encouragement from our beloved founder, Rev. Dr. Samuel Chhachhai.

One touching testimony came from a missionary in Shan Gwin, who shared, "We witness that God is blessing our mission work. Our Sunday school students, whose parents are Buddhists, are making an effort to finish their house chores early so they can attend Sunday school. This kind of zeal is clearly the hand of God." Such testimonies inspire us to continue investing our prayers and resources into this mission work for the glory of God.

Another significant event was the Prayer Dedication of the SALMI Education Center in the USA, which took place on August 28, in Laurel Hills, North Carolina. The ceremony was led by the founder and president of SALMI, Rev. Dr. Samuel Chhachhai. We give thanks to God for this initiative, as it is believed to be a tremendous blessing for the children. Minister Chon and his wife, Dorcas, who run the center, are currently assisting twelve students by providing the substantial help needed for their schoolwork through tutoring sessions from Monday to Friday.

Our ministers continue to spread the gospel by one-on-one evangelism and conducting Bible study session as follow up program in Myanmar. Our missionaries are also dedicated to discipling new believers, empowering them to share the good news with non-believers. This ongoing effort not only strengthens the body of Christ but also helps expand the kingdom of God.

Above and belove images show how Mr. Joshua and his students travel from the city to Dalah Wachung village on Sundays. They first commute by car and then take a boat to reach Dala Wachung church pioneered by Mr.Joshua and his wife, Nuam. Their dedication to attending church despite the challenges is truly inspiring.
